Interested in a commission? Let’s talk!

In the meantime, take a look at some commissions I’ve done for other clients.

Sorrento seaside view with turquoise water and yellow lemons in forefront.
Faraglioni Rocks emerge out of the colorful sea off the coast of the island of Capri, Italy
Against a brilliant blue sky, the tall rocks emerge in the background and reflect on the water in the foreground.
The greenish waters of Lake Louise glisten in front of the snow-capped mountains in Canada.
A furry, burnt sienna-colored dog has his tongue out as he gazes at the viewer.
A narrow side street is surrounded by yellow buildings. A small outdoor cafe has white tablecloths in the foreground.
Lamole Di Lamole shows a stone alcove with cascading green ivy and yellow flowers in a rectangular flower pot.
a furry dog leans on a chair and looks longingly out
A little black and white dog looks quizzically out at the view. His head is tilted and his ears are perked up.
Stoneridge Pond shows barren trees in the background, fronted by evergreen trees that sit on the rim of a lake that reflects the images of the trees.
Serenity is a study in blue. The vibrant blue sky looms above a lone sailboat as it moves slowly in the glistening blue sea.

So, how does this process work?

As I did with all of these, I can work from photographs.

If you’re interested in a one-of-a-kind painting, decide on your subject. We can work from your pictures or mine, whichever you prefer. If we work from your photos, gather as many as you can. That will help me get a better feel for the subject.

Together we can decide on size, budget, and other details to meet your needs. Commissions can range from $300 to $1,000 or more, depending on factors such as size, difficulty, and timing. You’ll need to make a deposit before I begin so I can gather materials.

Just so you know, I always paint the edges of gallery-wrapped canvases so they can be framed or not — the choice is yours. If I do frame pieces, I usually use floater frames which are narrow so that the focus is on the picture, not the frame.

If you're nearby, I can deliver your painting. If not, I usually ship through UPS or FedEx. Shipping charges are separate.

To see some of my work in person, visit Mamma Lena’s Trattoria in Germantown, Maryland, where several pieces are on permanent display. Plus, you’ll enjoy a traditional Italian homecooked meal! https://mammalenatrattoria.com/
